Ron Lanier is the past Director of the Virginia Department for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing where he served under six governors. He was and is an advocate for communication access for the Deaf Community and especially for children and adolescents.
Ron is Deaf and shares his life story through word and music. He is the father of a Deaf son and grandfather to both a grandson and granddaughter who are Deaf.
He has been married to Marsha for fifty-two years and they live in Richmond and are actively involved in the Cedar Street Baptist Church where Ron has served as a trustee, sings in the choir and he and Marsha co chair the Couples Ministry.
On Sunday, January 19, join us in the chapel from 9:30-10:15 to meet special guest, Ron Lanier and hear his story. In the 10:30 a.m. service, Ron will lead various portions of worship.
